How many moms feel like they are just giving pieces to the life they long to live?

  • pieces to their spouse
  • pieces to their kids
  • pieces to their God
  • pieces to their work
  • pieces to their friends, ministries, hobbies, dreams.

Power of Perspective: You Are Designed Whole

Perhaps the edgy feeling of life as pieces is just a result of a compartmentalized perspective.

God created you whole. I’ve recently been reading Kristin Funston’s book More From For Mom: Living Your Whole and Holy Life, and she has moved my thoughts further out of viewing life as a conglomeration of many moving and often disjointed (definitely not smoothly connected) parts.

Portfolio Life

What’s the solution? View it as a portfolio. View all the parts of your life as part of your life portfolio.

Our one life that God has packaged together into one whole life. And from here on out, we’re going to work to make our portfolios portray complete lives from what God has provided through Jesus Christ.                                       – Kristin Funston

Power of Position

Have you ever stopped to think about the incredible power that God has given us to live whole and holy?

In Ephesians 1, Paul records a prayer he prayed that the readers would realize the incomparably great power that God has for those that follow Him.

Dude, the power is the same as that which He raised Christ from the dead with!

…his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.                                                                             – God Ephesians 1

Power of Healing

If you’ve been deeply hurt, it is hard to give more than pieces unless you heal. So, seek whatever help and support you need to heal. That way you can live your whole and holy life.

Each of us is a whole person with one whole life, and we were designed to experience the holy of this life now, on earth.                              -Kristin Funston

Sip Life Slowly

Take time to delight in the macro and micro of your life, engaging with those you care about with your whole self, and embracing the dreams God has dreamed for you. You may also like:
