Grass Smiles at God

The cross-section tissue of a marram grass leaf reflects the smile of its Creator. God has been showing me in so many ways that He is full of delight, happiness, joviality, and joy. He alone could enjoy this special secret most of history, but He knew that we would be able to see this eventually and smile back at Him and delight in this simple joy with Him. I’m glad I get to see this.

I truly love the green things of the earth. They have always made me smile. I just didn’t know that their vascular bundles, which transport water, resemble faces. This marram grass made my day! I hope it does yours.

It reminds me of this truth in Scripture that, though people can choose to suppress the truth about God, all creation reflects His handiwork and points back to this amazing God that longs to have a deep, growing, abiding relationship with every one of us.

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Romans 1:19-20 ESV
