Simple and Delicious, 2-Ingredient, Gut-Healing Kefir Milkshake

Here’s the simplest way to enjoy kefir. It’s power-packed with probiotics, which make my gut happy. And, it’s delicious. My kids even love it!

Drink it as is or turn it into Popsicles- either way is great!

Probiotic Rich Kefir Milkshake

This milkshake is packed with probiotics. Delicious and refreshing, it is sure to satisfy.


Too simple for you? Go ahead and fill it with the things that you love. Like nuts? Try almond, cashew, or peanut butter! (Or just throw in 1/8 cup of your favorite nuts.) Like vanilla shake mix? Toss it in! Like chocolate? Throw in some cocoa powder or some chocolate shake mix! I’ll share my go-to-kefir milkshake that I drink for breakfast nearly every day in a future post. Change this simple recipe up any way you like to create your go-to kefir recipe!


Ingredients


  • 1 cup dairy kefir
  • 1 cup frozen fruit of choice (include banana with other fruit for sweetness)


Directions

  1. Put ingredients in your blender.
  2. Blend
  3. Enjoy!

Troubleshooting:

  • Too sour for you? – Add some dates or honey or more banana
  • Don’t like the consistency?– Add 1/2 cup of ice
  • Want to get more bang for your cup? Add fillers you like, such as Spirulina, Amala, moringa, wheat grass, broccoli sprouts, tumeric, spinach or cinnamon. 
  • Still not tasty enough? Add your favorite shake mix or protein powder mix to spice it up.
  • Make too much? Turn it into Popsicles!
